Top Spinning
If the top was perfectly balanced would not, after having stopped spinning?
Add physics project at school I'm looking for a better understanding of how this works.
How do you define "A TOP"? Each first I've seen has an axis with an area very little contact with the bottom surface. Heavy it is, of course, top. He would stay up as long as no external forces (eg, a statement of someone who spends s) acting on it. His hypothesis is supposed to work perfectly straight without side movement. Tops seldom do. If the axis of rotation is not the same (in rest) in line as the line formed by the center of gravity and perpendicular, will fall – no matter how well balanced it is!
