How Tempra paint compared to water color, oil, and how it compares with acrylic?
I would like to know the paint is often considered the best for beginners and also what is the best surface to put the water color? I am also interested in painting on wood. What is the best type of paint used on the sticks? Any advice is helpful, but mostly we want a comparison between a group of media. Thank you!
Watercolor, tempera and acrylic paints are all water based. Therefore, the brushes can be clear water. There are documents created exclusively for the watercolor can be found in an art store. oil paintings, As you can guess by its name, are based on oil, take longer to dry than water-based paints mixed with oil linseed, turpentine (turpentine is very dangerous, can damage your liver!) or other compounds. Brushes are cleaned with turpentine. You can paint the wood with any oils or acrylics. Paper or fabric must first be prepared with several thin layers of plaster before applying paint. You can start with oils or acrylics. Still going learn to mix colors. I work with both and I think (for now) I prefer oils. My daughter loves the acrylic. Go figure! Watercolors are however very different!
