Chapbook Competition
To celebrate the third anniversary issue of the Muse Apprentice Guild (appearing online in mid-August 2004), we are offering our first chapbook competition. One winner will be selected for the best poetry chapbook and one winner will be selected for the best fiction chapbook. Winners will be published in print by the MAG Press. The deadline is October 1, 2004.
The reading fee is $25.

The jurors are August Highland, Harry Polkinhorn (Editor of the SDSU Press), Lys Anzia (American Affiliate of UNESCO), Danielle Grilli, Jeff Harrison, and Phil Toalston.
Information:
Your chapbook will be published by the MAG Press in paperback format using state-of-the-art print-on-demand technology. The MAG will assign an ISBN for retail distribution through vendors like Amazon.com and BN.com. The chapbook will have a full-color cover and perfect binding. The winning authors will earn a 50% royalty on each sale.
Your chapbook ought to be at least 40 pages in length. It can be a poetry collection, a short story collection, or a novella.
The submission deadline is October 1, 2004. Winners will announced in February 2005 and the winning chapbooks will be published in spring 2005.
