Horse Grooming Brushes?
What are the names of all the horse grooming brushes? (including the cool, special and rare ones, not just the basics.) And what are they used for?
I’ll go through my grooming box and say everything in there
curry comb – used to loosen dirt
shedding blade – used to help get the winter coat off and for really muddy horses
hard brush – used to get most of the dirt the curry and shedding blade lifted
medium brush – used to get the rest of the dirt and give the coat a shine
soft brush – used to get that last bit of dirt out and make the coat have a shine to it
hoof pick – used to get the dirt and mud out of the hoof
face curry – rather then the prongs a regular curry has it has softer long sticks and it’s smaller used to get the mud off the face
face brush – a smaller version of the medium brush to get the mud loosened by the face curry and give the face a little shine
two combs – used to comb out the mane and tail
mane and tail brush – for the bigger knots or for not as detailed of a job
sweat scrapper – used to get extra water or sweat off a horse after a workout or bath
glove – used on the legs mostly it’s like a softer version of the curry that you put your hand in and can get mud off the legs
